Mid-Months Confessions

Today I'm linking up with Elizabeth at Teaching Sam and Scout and Heather at Notes from the Nelsons for January's Mid-Month Confessions.

I like to call this time "Owning My Crazy."   That says it all.

1. I love Valentine's candy.....like obsessively, eat the whole bag of candy hearts in one day, buy a ton on February 15th kind of love!  That being said, when I came home from Meijer with a bag of candy heart gummies and another bag of Gobstopper hearts.....well, you can imagine the outcome.  My teeth and my tummy are not agreeing with me on this, but I really want to go back to the grocery store and buy more immediately.  The only thing stopping me is the miserably cold weather and the toddler that would be tagging along.
My teeth hurt after eating a few, possibly because they are actually time jawbreakers.

This bag is my happy place!

 2.  After losing a bet with my 5th grade class, I reluctantly rapped the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution last Friday.  This is totally not in my comfort zone!  We do what we have to do to inspire our kiddos to learn though.  However (this is a BIG however)....
I found myself on YouTube last night.
Rapping.
On YouTube.
And dancing like M.C. Hammer.
Cue the embarrassment!

3. I LOVE buying unnecessary gifts for my toddler!  As in, I may like it more than he does sometimes.  For example, I saw a pair of cowboy boots recently that had Woody from Toy Story on the side.  (We all know that Woody is Bryce's hero and Toy Story is his jam!)  I may or may not have invented a random potty-related goal in order to have an excuse to buy him these boots.

I mean, really, how cute are these on his little feet?  And we're getting our money's worth out of them since he wears them everyday.  Case in point....

Saturday-

Sunday-
Yep, he wore the hat and boots to church.  We all worship in a our own way, I guess.

Monday-

Totally worth it!

There it is for this month!

  1. Hey girl! Thanks for linking up - it's fun to meet another teacher-mom. I'm totally with you on the Valentine's candy - gummy hearts are my love language! (And sweet tart hearts.)
